The UKCES and AppChallenge are pleased to announce the #Careerhack AppChallenge winners. The developer contest was organised to showcase the Labour Market Information for All (LMI for All) Open Data provided by the UK Commission for Employment & Skills.

A total of 28 entries were shortlisted which can be viewed on Youtube. Each entrant was asked to film their app working and to explain why it’s innovative and what impact it could have on society. The full rules of the contest are available on the #careerhack competition website here.

The prizes included a special award for young people (aged 16-24 years old). Of the £22,500 in prizes, three of the four prizes went to talented students. The first prize was won by Tomasz Florczak from Logtomobile in Poland. Second prize by 16 year old high school student Harry Jones and Phillip Hardwick, an IT apprentice, won the young persons prize.
